Weekly Update (September 6th – September 12th)

In May 2007, Philadelphia’s residents voted to reform and modernize the city’s zoning code.  Throughout 2010, the Zoning Code Commission (ZCC) has been working on completing draft recommendations for the new zoning code. The ZCC has been issuing partial drafts of the new code since February, and now the entire draft of the code has been made public and is available online at ZoningMatters.org.

The ZCC will accept public comments on the draft code through October 12, 2010.  CDAG encourages everyone to read the draft code provide the ZCC with your comments.

PlanPhilly has collected the commentary submitted by the various non-profits across the city.  To read more about what the Next Great City, The Delaware Valley Green Building Council, the American Institute for Architecture, and others have to say about the proposed code click here.
